Zombie Routine touches our habits, our daily acts,
a kind of domesticity which weaves its way into
our everyday repeated actions and reactions.
The works of Bending Binding, Skye Chamberlain,
Hadrien Gérenton, Beatrice Marchi, Jaakko
Pallasvuo and Jana Schröder all have to do with
a visual environment connected to ordinary
everyday life.
Functional, decorative, entertaining, they replay
a familiar scene. A chair with a cushion, a video
about cats to share on social networks, a tutorial
‘turn and ceramic’, a tag drawn casually with
someone’s finger on a dusty object, a small
amateur painting to hang in the corner by the
fireplace, a forgotten pack of cigarettes, a buried
bottle, these are the ghosts of our obsessions, our
daily routine zombies.
